Terms of Service

Effective 13 October 2026

These terms cover your use of Preset Pilot (presetpilot.com) and the Preset Pilot Helper app, run by Quilter Laboratories, LLC of Irvine, California, USA (“we”, “us”). By using Preset Pilot you agree to them. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.

It's a beta

Preset Pilot is still being built. Features change, things break, and we may reset, limit or pause parts of it while we work. It is free during the beta and provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Your Helix

The live editor writes presets to your Helix over USB. Back up your Helix (HX Edit's own backup, or a cloud backup here) before you use it. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost presets or settings, or for anything that happens to your gear while you use Preset Pilot.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. During the beta, new accounts need an invite. You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

What's yours

Presets you make are yours. You give us the right to store and process them to run the service, and to use your edits — counted anonymously — to improve the presets the generator suggests.

Fair use

There are daily limits on generations and on how much you can upload. Don't try to get around them, break or overload the service, reverse-engineer it to harm others, or use it to break the law or hurt anyone. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Quilter Laboratories is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of Preset Pilot, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months (during the free beta, nothing).

Not affiliated

Line 6, Helix and HX Edit are trademarks of Yamaha Guitar Group. Preset Pilot is not affiliated with or endorsed by Line 6. Amp and pedal names are used only to describe sounds.

Changes

We may update these terms as Preset Pilot grows. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA.
